WISHES COLLECTION | EXHIBITION – Feb – 2016 | Bunkamura Gallery- TOKYO

I used to live in Japan for 19 years. I learned, following my heart, various techniques of Japanese traditional art and I fused them with my own painting techniques.

My work is influenced by Japanese culture and art, and it uses traditional materials such as platinum, gold, silver, copper, aluminum, and furthermore, it combines oriental formative art with western oil painting.

“The tree of Wishes” is a work drawn for the exhibition that was held at the embassy of Spain in 2014. The work expresses life that is changing every moment by using copper foil. I painted it hoping that this tree would fulfill the wishes of the viewers.

“Deseos” is the fruit of “The tree of Wishes”, and each one has meaning such as wealth, harmony, love and so on.
